4-10-09 Yoshimura Black Absolute MJN carbs.
So I have been mentioning it here in there on a few of the forums that the Yoshimura multi-jet needle carburetors are some of the best carburetors I’ve ever worked with. Looks like Yosh just possibly made a version that’s not only more easy to adjust but freaking looks like a Rolex. If you haven’t seen the MJN design take a look at this youtube vid, basically it has a needle design that is completely cylindrical, hollow and with perforations on either side. The needle acts somewhat like a mini fuel rail directly in the center of the carb venturi.
The benefit of MJN for the small displacement horizontal and vertical 4 stroke singles is that you can completely over carb the motors and the response is less negatively effected then a conventional design. Typically from what ive seen it can be more difficult to tune out, eliminate bogs and what not with a conventional carb then it can with a MJN carb.
Have a look at the Black Absolutes design. Yosh has it on their site that its for a limited time only. So if you want one jump on it quick and send us a email at
Adjustment nobs.
And if you feel left out that you missed the Black Absolute and want to upgrade your standard MJN Yosh came out with a nob set upgrade. Not quite as cool looking as the ones that come with the black absolute but not bad.
