WekFest 2009 San Francisco, Japan Town.
WekFest 09 was our first car show, we didn’t know how people would react to custom minis at an import tuner car show but over all we think it went over well. Lots of preparation went into getting the bikes, display, and media together and it was all well worth it.
The Ape had some major changes made to the front end that came down to the wire with getting the custom KSR forks back from RJP-Racing just the day prior to the event. RJP created some custom valving, springs and added some pre-load adjusters for the forks. They were hard anodized black to go with the rest of the OVER Racing hardware. With the new OVER wheel mounted up matching the rear that’s been on for a few months I was quite proud to have it on display. Just some initial comments on the new front end; its very light compared to stock, and now there is more then enough brakes. I’m looking forward to some brisk rides on it up in the hills. The Chaly had a lot of little things buttoned up on it, clutch brackets, cables, wiring, brake stays, fuel lines. All little stuff but it all added up to being a lot of work in a little time. The monkey as always just needed some polish and a little love.
Mr. Stegman, a customer and good friend of the shop was gracious enough to lend a hand with media support, travel logistics and brought his 146+R ZB to display. I have to say that his ZB and the Monkey got the most attention out of the 4 bikes.
Thanks to those who gave us a hand with the printed goods, graphic work, and to all our vendors who support us with great products.
